Note from Generate__Impact: We have had the privilege of befriending Brynn Brasington and experiencing her passion for the fight against cancer. Here, in Brynn’s own words, is why the American Cancer Society is an Org We Love:

Every Person Makes an Impact

2020 forced us out of our comfort zones in ways we couldn’t have anticipated, but I find myself feeling thankful for one thing—it helped us remember what really matters and humbly consider our impact:

  • Am I positively affecting the world around me?
  • Am I driving change?
  • How CAN I drive change?

You’ve likely asked yourself these questions too, but maybe you didn’t know how to take the first step. Let me show you how.

Join the Fight

Like many, I envision a future where our daughters—and sons—no longer live with the threat of breast cancer. Although the COVID-19 pandemic caused a drop in donations to ACS, we won’t allow progress to be put on hold. It’s too important and too urgent. Apart from skin cancers, breast cancer is the most common cancer type in women.

In fact, In 2021:

Around 281,500 New cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed.

Around 49,290 New cases of carcinoma in situ (CIS) will be diagnosed in women.

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer movement raises life-saving funds that support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers across the globe. We’ve helped millions of people get the resources and care they need most. But until we see a world without breast cancer, we won’t stop. That’s why we need people like you to join us.

Because cancer won’t stop, any way you decide to get involved will help us save lives from breast cancer.

Shannon, Breast Cancer Survivor “I don’t just want a cure for myself. I want a cure for my daughters. I don’t want them to have to go through what I went through. I hope for their generation that breast cancer is a thing of the past.”
